Superfinished surfaces have excellent tribological properties – high bearing area ratio, low surface roughness and defined cross hatch pattern for lubricant retention for bearings and no lead coarser surface finish for seals. Removal of unstable amorphous layer, tight size control coupled with enhanced tribological characteristics significantly extends the life of bearing and seal surfaces.
Nagel has successfully installed thousands of superfinishing systems all across the globe in Automotive, Aerospace, Hydraulic, Lawn & Garden, Oil & Natural Gas, Appliance, Medical and other industries.
